East Penn Releases Cup Draw for Amateur & Open

EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, The Eastern Pennsylvania Soccer Association released the cup draw for their state competitions, Thursday. These state cups will qualify the state Champion for the Region I rounds of the US Amateur and (most likely) the Werner Fricker Open Cup despite it being discontinued nationally. EPSA is the first to release a draw has opted to continue to hold the competition. This stands right along with what we know from Maryland State Soccer.

EPSA US AMATEUR CUP
EPSA AMATEUR BRACKETTen teams have entered the Eastern Pennsylvania Amateur Cup competition. Five of those ten are United Soccer League of Pennsylvania clubs. The United League is a USASA Elite Amateur League. Inter-County Soccer League and Philadelphia Premier Soccer League are also represented.
NOTES:
* Vereinigung Erzgebirge is the reigning EPSA Amateur Cup Champion.
**The German Hungarians won the 1965 US Amateur Cup.

EPSA OPEN CUP
EPSA OPENEight teams have entered the Eastern Pennsylvania Open Cup Competition. Five of those eight are are United Soccer League of Pennsylvania clubs. The United League is a USASA Elite Amateur League. Inter-County Soccer League and Philadelphia Premier Soccer League are also represented.
NOTES:
*West Chester United is the reigning EPSA Open Cup Champion. They currently hold the Region I Title and are the 2014-2015 USASA Werner Fricker Open Cup Champion.
**The German Hungarians won the USASA Open Cup in 1999.
