German Hungarians host US National Donauschwaben Tournament over Memorial Day Weekend

OAKFORD, PA – On Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27 the United German Hungarians of Philadelphia and Vicinity will host the U.S. National Donauschwaben Soccer Tournament.

The National Tournament, in its 44th year, is a core event for the Danube Swabian Association of the U.S.A. Anyone who has been to the event will say that the weekend, Memorial Day each year, is a tournament with competitive amateur soccer on the field. It also includes camaraderie off the field amongst the players, staff and fans from many member clubs.

The matches are open for all fans to attend. The host hopes to encourage local soccer fans to come to their facility to see their club but also some great soccer from clubs across the country. It’s a great opportunity for the local amateur soccer fan to see great soccer.
