West Chester United: 2018 Region I US Amateur Cup Champions

HORSHAM, On Saturday, June 16, 2018 the West Chester United “Predators,” captured their first ever Regional US Amateur Cup Title in  2:0 win over a solid Safira FC side.

The match went scoreless for the full regulation and the first 15 minute overtime period. Two goals late in the second 15 minute half won it for the East Penn club. Goals were scored in the 119” and 122”.

The match was a hard fought one between two teams working to win it. That is the US Amateur Cup. Most importantly, on either side of the whistles both sides represented their clubs with sportsmanship.

West Chester United plays in the local United Soccer League of Pennsylvania as well as in the NPSL. They won the national championship in the Werner Fricker Open Cup in 2015 in Virginia Beach.

The club will go on to represent Region I in the national finals to be played among one of the four regional finalists on the weekend of 3 & 4 August.
