The Eastern Pennsylvania side will face Motown Lions for the championship. Motown is a combination of Garden State Soccer League teams FC Motown and Jackson Lions FC. The New Jersey outfit shutout Lansdowne Yonkers FC of Eastern New York 1:0 with Julius James knocking in the winner and Ryan Baird keeping the Bhoys abey in goal.
The Northeast Elite Soccer League was created to give the top sides from among affiliated State Associations leagues in USASA Region I an extra competition. We had seven teams from such storied USASA leagues as the Cosmopolitan Soccer League (ENY & NJ), Garden State Soccer League (NJ), United Soccer League of Pennsylvania (EPA) and the Maryland Major Soccer League (MD) take part in our first season. It is the goal of the league to expand throughout the entire region in 2019.
The NESL boasts among its top clubs USASA national champions Lansdowne Yonkers FC (formerly Lansdowne Bhoys), Christos FC and West Chester United. It includes Cosmopolitan Soccer League powerhouse Cedar Stars Academy, Motown Lions of the Garden State League (combined teams of Jackson Lions FC & FC Motown), Junior Lone Star FC of Eastern Pennsylvania and Izee Auto FC of Maryland.
