German Family Society in Akron to host National Donauschwaben Tournament over Memorial Day Weekend

AKRON, OH – This year the US National Donaushwaben Socecr Tournament is returning to Ohio nd alos to the German Family Society in Brimfield on May 25 and 26.

Our GFS Eagles Men’s Open 1, Open 2, and Over 40 soccer teams started their indoor seasons. They are playing throughout the winter, in preparation for the Spring outdoor season.

In preparation for the upcoming tournament in May, the soccer facilities are getting a face lift. Over the next few months, the Sports Haus and fields will be renovated. Specifically, the women’s locker room and bathroom will be joined by a doorway replacing the two exterior doors with one door, a couple of the exterior wood doors will be replaced with steel doors, and the serving area will be improved. The lower soccer field was expanded to be a regulation-sized field and improvements to the fields will also be implemented.
