REGION II, Via twitter US Adult Soccer announced that RWB Adria and Milwaukee Bavarians have advanced to the Championship Final of the USASA Region II Amateur Cup. These two decorated clubs are now one step closer to raising the Fritz Marth Trophy.
RWB Adria is no stranger to regional or national finals. They won the US Amateur Cup in 2011 and 2013. They also appeared in the final of the Werner Fricker Open Cup in 2015 falling to the East Penn West Chester United side. Adria earned their place in this upcoming regional final with a 4:0 win over Old Bhoys SC (IN).
The Bavarians won their 7th Star for the crest last year taking the US Amateur Cup Title. They won the US Amateur Cup 5 times in 1976, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2018. The club also won the Werner Fricker Open in 2003, and 2009. The Bavarians reached the Region II final this year with a 6:1 win over Hamtramck City FC (MI).
The match will need to be played by June 29, per the bracket released on Social Media. Will it be another win for the Reigning National Champs or if RWB Adria due for another appearance at the National stage?
